People with acne prone and sensitive skin would especially benefit from using silk sheets and pillowcases. This is because silk is more gentle than cotton. Cotton creates friction on sensitive skin which can worsen inflammation, acne and eczema.

Cotton absorbs the oil and bacteria from your face which builds up on the pillowcase therefore creating a dirty pillowcase that you rest your head on.
SIlk pillowcases don’t absorb as much dirt and moisture which makes it better suited for sensitive and acne prone skin. SIlk is also more comfortable to sleep in and therefore can improve the quality of your sleep allowing you to wake up rested and with a cleaner, less irritated face.
